    WordCamp Toronto 2014 Recap and Presentation Slides

    We had a great time at WordCamp Toronto last week. Over 450 people attended the 2-day event, at Humber College’s Lakeshore campus. Rick presented Multisite for Multilingual in the Beginner Developers track. Jasmine presented Typography in Web Design in the Designer track. While a veteran WordCamp Toronto attendee, it was Jasmine’s first time presenting at the conference. We were humbled to have our rooms filled to the rafters. So much interest in WP! Thanks to everyone who attended our presentations, and a special thanks to the organizers, who put on a great event. Rick and Jasmine really enjoyed attending WordCamp Toronto, and look forward to speaking again next year.     LumosTech at WordCamp Toronto 2014

    We are looking forward to attending WordCamp Toronto this week. Both Rick and Jasmine will be speaking at the sold out two day conference all about WordPress. Rick will be presenting, Multisite for Multilingual. This talk is about creating a multilingual WordPress site using WordPress multisite. The talk will cover: the basics of setting up multisite, some plugins to make it easier to create a multilingual site, pros & cons of using multisite for multilingual sites, and some tips and tricks to help with your sites. Rick’s presentation is on Saturday November 15th at 3:30pm in the Beginner Developer track. Jasmine will be presenting, Typography in Web Design. This presentation covers typography basics and best practices, examples of typography in web design, trends, personalities of type, an introduction to Google Fonts and different ways to enable fonts on your WordPress website.
